In The Sun

Whew, been awhile, huh?  I think, like so many others, Instagram and the like is stealing my blog thunder.  It's so much easier to post a quick update there than to write out a blog post.  Yet I still love blogging - it's just not as quick to happen these days...

This summer has been action-packed already!  The weather has been pretty nice, if a little hot, so we've been trying to get out as much as possible. We walk or run on the cart paths, play in Harper's baby pool, go to Tony's parents' pool, and go to the swings.  We eat popsicles and smell of sunscreen and sweat buckets.  But that's summer.

A few weekends ago we had the opportunity to visit our friends' parents' new lake house for the first time.  

We got to spend time with Mikey and Kacy and our favorite twinsies, as well as new baby Finn.

  
Harper got to swim in the lake for the first time and work on her tan (kidding. spf 1,000,000). 

We got to spend time with lots of Kacy's family, and lots of dogs, of course! 

Harper even started really getting up on knees and rocking while we were there.  She chose this moment, when I'm already nervous about being on a dock, to practice her movement, rolling right over and pushing up as I took one millisecond to take my lens cap off.  We still don't have a crawler, but she's really practicing hard!

 We got to go on boat rides and had a diapers-only policy (adults and kids, of course).

 It was relaxing and the weather was lovely.  Lake time is the best, especially with good friends! (thanks for having us!)
